According Gabby Otchere-Darko, the ministers have collective responsibility to avail themselves to the media for interviews but that was not the case during the first term of Akufo-Addo.
“A big part of governance, especially in our very media-vibrant environment, is for ministers and their deputies to regularly speak for govt. Sadly, too many were either too big or too busy to be heard. Hopefully, this will change,” he noted in a post on social media.
Meanwhile President Akufo-Addo is expected to scrap some seven ministries in his second term as he is yet to officially name his ministers.
