UAM Unsure about Resumption Date

THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, MAKURDI (FUAM) YET TO DETERMINE HER RESUMPTION DATE.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi which was bid to resume academic activities after the yuletide on the 3rd January, 2018 in line with the academic calendar would no longer be reopening on the proposed date due to the enduring Joint Strike action of Non-Academic Staff across Nigerian Universities which has kept these category of University staff who administer very essential aspects of the University out of Campus.

Information gathered by Campus Gist ‘paper however confirmed that deliberations are ongoing by the University administration to see to the return of Students back to campus as soon as possible.

Also adding, sources from the Students union, FUAM have reiterated the genuine efforts been made by the Prof. A.R. Kimbir led Administration to announce a factual date for reopening of the University campus and charged Students to remain calm and hopeful to join their contemporaries who have resumed after the yuletide celebrations within the shortest possible time.

As the Students Continue to wait earnestly for a declaration from the University Administration, Many are hopeful that their wait would be brief as they are enthusiastic about reuniting with their friends and fast-tracking their Academic sojourn in Benue’s premier University.
