According to Johns Hopkins University, as of March 1 only 6.57% of Texans are fully vaccinated.
In a statement to CNN, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said, “Every time public health measures are pulled back, we have seen a spike in hospitalizations… now’s not the time to reverse the gains we’ve worked so hard to realize , today’s decision is illusion . At worst, it’s a cynical plan to distract Texans from the failures of state oversight of our power system .”
