#1 Wumi Toriola and Husband
Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola in an interview with City People revealed that she had met her husband through Facebook.
She said, “He saw me in a movie, and it happened. I don’t like to talk about it, [laugh] He saw me in a movie and we chatted via Facebook and I rarely do Facebook, and everything just happened.
“Hmmm, we chatted on Facebook and he was like, let’s go out, and I agreed it was just as if. Someone used something on me, because am usually not like that.
On how easy it was for him to convince her for marriage, she said: “It was really easy, sometimes. I even use to tell him, that he got me so cheap. Because that’s not me, and that’s the main reason why I actually feel, he is truly my husband because naturally, I am a very tough girl.
“I am not just the normal girl, that you can say syllabus will make her bend. Sooner how I went on cheaply and I was like, let’s see how it will go and it went well.”
#2 Ebuka and wife Cynthia
Popular TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife Cynthia Obianodo also met online.
Ebuka makes a living on TV screen but holds a Masters Degree in Law, specializing in Intellectual property law and Communication law.
His wife, Cynthia Obianodo, now Uchendu, is a daughter of a multi-millionaire and owner of a thriving transport business, The Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo. Chief Obianodo also owns Rock View Hotels. She studied Human Resource Management and presently works in one of her father’s companies.
Both met in November 2014, got engaged in April 2015 and married traditionally in October 2015
During a question and answer session with her followers on social media, Cynthia revealed that she met her husband on Twitter after a fan inquired to know.
#3 Adekunle Gold and wife, Simi
Adekunle’s wife Simi recently revealed her husband chased her all over Facebook.
According to her, she met Adekunle Gold on Facebook and their first meeting was at a show she headlined in Lagos.
She further revealed that she never knew Adekunle Gold was a musician like herself during their first meeting, but as ‘King of Photoshop’.
They went on to become friends, dated and eventually got married.
Her words, “He was chasing me all over Facebook. When I was still doing gospel music he used to listen to my songs. He sent me a message on Facebook and that was how we met. I didn’t know him at the time. I didn’t respond either.
“The first time I ever saw him was at a show at Bogobiri, he told me that he was going to be there and I said ‘sure’. He came and that was how we met. Over the years we were friends at first. When I first met him I just knew him as the king of Photoshop, I didn’t know he was also a musician”, she said.
