Nigeria Draw 4-4 With Sierra Leone After Taking 4-0 Lead


Nigerians were left stunned after the national team, Super Eagles drew 4-4 with Sierra Leone despite taking a comfortable 4-0 lead.

The Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match looked to have been settled in the first half as Nigeria led 4-1.

Everton star Alex Iwobi scored a brace with Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze also on target.

But the Sierra Leoneans fought back in the second half to snatch a draw, much to the surprise of football fans across the continent.

Sierra Leone scored their last goal with less than four minutes to end proceedings.

Nigeria remain top of their group on seven points – with Sierra Leone third, five points adrift. Second placed Benin play bottom side Lesotho on Saturday.
