Dr. Tyowua Andrew donates books to vice chancellor BSU.From BSU News and Information,
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Msugh Moses Kembe Wednesday, April 10, 2019 received two title books authored by Dr. Andrew Tyowua, Lecturer in the Chemistry Department for the University Library.
Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Tyowua explained that the publications were part of his contributions to research and knowledge in the University and thanked the Management for supporting the publications one of which was sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund,Tetfund.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Msugh Moses Kembe commended the author for the publications and urged other academics in the University to emulate his initiative by embarking on quality research and publications that will promote teaching and learning.
Professor Kembe Stated that these publications will greatly contribute to the knowledge of Chemistry among students and researchers in the University and globally.
In his comments, the Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. Stephen Yiase extolled the academic ingenuity of Dr. Tyowua, explaining that the United States based publishing houses which accepted the books are also responsible for the marketing.
Dr. Tyowua, a 1st Class Chemistry graduate of Benue State University was employed by the University as a Graduate Assistant following which he enrolled for a Ph.D programme in the United Kingdom and graduated in 2½ years without a Master’s Degree.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Godwin Ior Achinge, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Edward Agbo Omudu, Ag. Bursar, Mr. Orinya Agbo Onazi, Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. Stephen Yiase and Head, Department of Chemistry, Dr. Benjamin Asen Anhwange witnessed the books presentation in the Vice-Chancellors Conference’s Room.
