The footage shows that he’s a force in the ring.
As Jussie Smollett’s case develops and the actor continues to maintain his innocence by entering a not guilty verdict, Abel Osundairo, one of the brothers who reportedly fake attacked Smollett in the hoax assault, was spotted entering a boxing ring for an amateur match. Ola and Abel Osundairo claim that Jussie paid them for fitness training, but asked them to stage an early morning attack on him for publicity purposes.

In the boxing footage obtained by TMZ, Abel shows off his impressive skills, winning his fight with a TKO in the first round. This may be evidence that if he attacked Smollett and seriously wanted to injure the Empire actor, he could have most likely done more damage that he reportedly was responsible for. Smollett told police that he fought two MAGA hat-wearing attackers on the streets of Chicago who shouted racial and homophobic slurs at him.

“My clients were just taken advantage of by someone they trusted,” Gloria Schmidt, the Osundairo’s lawyer told GMA. “This was someone who the brothers thought could help their career…Someone they had trusted to consider their best interest.”

“I’m left hanging my head and asking why,” Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson previously said in a press conference. “Why would anyone, especially an African American man, use the symbolism of a noose to make false accusations? How could someone look at the hatred and suffering associated with that symbol and see an opportunity to manipulate that symbol to further his own public profile? How can an individual who’s been embraced by the city of Chicago turn around and slap everyone in this city in the face by making these false claims?”
