During the week, an up and coming singer, Bad Boy JP, publicly appealed to Wizkid not to release his forthcoming single featuring Teni D’ Entertainer.
JP claimed that his former producer, North Boi, gave the song to Wizkid, and they were about to rip him off by releasing it.
In an encounter with Sunday Scoop, JP stated that he was yet to hear from Wizkid or the producer since he made the online plea. He said, “North Boi once told me that Wizkid wanted to feature on my song but it didn’t work out.
Then, I heard my beat on his page and I felt quite bad.
Wizkid and the producer are yet to reach out to me since I made the post on social media. If they release the song, I may be forced to take legal action.”
JP said he was certain that Wizkid knew he was the original owner of the song.
He stated, “For North Boi to have told me that Wizkid wanted to feature on my song, it means he knew I was the owner of the song. I have known North Boi for two years now. He used to be my in-house producer and my record company paid him.
I guess he just wants to run faster than his shadow.”
However, when Sunday Scoop reached out to North Boi to confirm the allegations, he refused to comment.
Sunday Scoop also telephoned Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are, but he did not answer the calls.
Neither did he respond to a message sent to him as of the time of filing this report on Saturday.
