Hakim Ziyech Leaves The Pitch INJURED In First Chelsea Pre-Season Game.
The Moroccan winger got off to a good start as he was involved in the Blues’ opening goal of pre-season in just the fourth minute.
Ziyech played an impressive ball forwards to Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Hudson-Odoi scuffed a headed effort, which saw the ball fall into the path of the oncoming German striker.
Werner happily tapped home from six yards to secure the perfect start to his Chelsea career.
Early in the second half though, Ziyech mishit a free kick and appeared to pick up an injury in the process.
The issue looked relatively minor, though he decided to sit down and consult with the Blues’ medical staff.
He left the field following a quick conversation and was replaced by Conor Gallagher.
Chelsea fans will no doubt be hoping the injury is not too serious and this was merely a case of ‘better safe than sorry’.
