Ghana Election 2020: Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has clarified the air that, there is no debate between president Akufo-Addo and him over the implementation of Free SHS.

According to the former President, there are records that proves he implemented and started Free SHS in 2015.
He said “There is not banter between NAkufoAddo and I over Free SHS. There are records that I introduced progressive Free SHS.”

The political debate of which government brought Free SHS has cropped into the major political discusses since few weeks ago, as Ghana gets closer to the 2020 polls on December 7.
The NDC claim the flagship Free SHS policy was introduced under former President John Dramani Mahama administration in 2015.
However, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the other hand, claim to be the true government who implemented Free SHS in 2017, under president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
On Monday December 7, 2020, Ghanaians will walk to the polls to elect both a president and parliamentarians to be at the helm of governance for the country’s next four political years.
