Confusion hit a cemetery at Koforidua after a group of violent men attacked bereaved family over burial of their colleague.
The group, workers of timber Market in the area was led by one Kwabena Lawyer who is believed to have connived with the widow and attempted to hold a separate burial service for the deceased.
Unfortunately for them the bereaved family received a tip-off of the plan and therefore erected tents and hired spinner, bought coffin to hold separate burial service.
They then dashed to the mortuary of St. Joseph Hospital to take the body and went straight to the cemetery for burial.
But the timber market workers after the hiring of the families plans mobilized sticks as well as other tools and invaded the cemetery to attack the bereaved family particularly Sampson Ahunu.
who was leading the burial in an attempt to stop the process but were resisted creating chaos at the cemetery.
The angry mob descended on Sampson Ahunu in an attempt to beat him to a pulp as they surrounded his vehicle shortly after he tried to fled the scene.
The group deflated the back tyres but he managed to escape with the car with speed.
Sampson Ahunu has since been receiving death threats forcing him to report the threats on his life to the Police.
The police have since launched into an investigation into the matter.
This is very shocking as people have time to fight over corpses.
In fact, the police must arrest both the family and the deceased’s colleagues as they have nothing to do.
When people are thinking about how to make ends meet, these people are thinking of a corpse.
A corpse that will not come back to life is able to cause such commotion.
Why won’t Africa be stagnant when it comes to development when her people use their brains to think about corpses instead of ways to move the country forward.
