Frank Lampard has been left unimpressed with Kepa Arrizabalaga’s performances between the sticks for the Blues this season, leading to the Spaniard being dropped on two occasions throughout the campaign.

Having already secured the services of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, and with Chelsea closing in on the Kai Havertz, Lampard is likely to turn to the defence in making further signings, starting with the goalkeeper.

Kepa’s struggles have been well precedented over the past season, and it seems that the club are now ready to move the stopper on.

Chelsea have already been linked with a number of names to replace the world record signing.

Names such as Jan Oblak have been mentioned, but there have also been some cheaper options that the Blues are said to be looking at.

The Atletico Madrid goalkeeper is reported to be the number one goalkeeping target for Chelsea this summer, with reports suggesting that the Blues are ready to include Arrizabalaga in any deal with the Spanish side.

But the move could prove to be expensive, with the goalkeeper having a £120 million buy-out clause in his contract.

The Blues are said to be keeping an eye on the Burnley goalkeeper as a potential replacement for Kepa.

The Clarets’ stopper has been in impressive form since replacing Tom Heaton as number one, but Sean Dyche’s men won’t let the England international go without a fight.

Andre Onana

Chelsea are said to have made contact with the representatives of the Ajax goalkeeper, who is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League.

It is also reported that the stopper will be available for a fee of around £26.9 million.

Kasper Schmeichel

The Leicester goalkeeper has emerged as one of the potential targets for Frank Lampard, but the Blues reportedly face competition from Manchester United.

Schmeichel has been a big part of Leicester’s growth over his nine years at the club, with the Foxes unlikely to entertain offers for their vice-captain.

Chelsea are said to be monitoring the Manchester United youngster, who impressed on loan at Sheffield United this season.

It is reported that United are ready to offer the goalkeeper a bumper new deal to fend off interest from Chelsea.

The Blues are reportedly keeping an eye on the contract situation of the Barcelona man, who has entered the final two years of his deal at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona are however determined to make sure the goalkeeper stays at the club this summer.

It was reported earlier in the summer that Chelsea had agreed a deal to sign the Trabzonspor man in order to replace Arrizabalaga between the sticks.

The Blues were said to have agreed to a £30 million fee for the player who was vital to the Turkish club’s second-placed finish this season.

Chelsea were linked with the Roma goalkeeper back in June alongside Tottenham and West Ham United.

It was said that the goalkeeper would cost in the region of £36 million having impressed in Italy this season.

Fraser Forster

The goalkeeper has spent the season out on loan at Celtc, having fallen down the pecking order at Southampton.

The Blues have been credited with an interest, with Forster reportedly costing around £10 million, but face competition from Arsenal and Celtic for his services.
