On it, Springsteen sings, “The road is long and seeming without end/ the times continue , I remember you my friend/ And though you’re gone And my heart’s been emptied it seems I’ll see you in my dream.”

Gudinski, chairman of the powerhouse Mushroom Group of Companies, died Monday (March 1) at his range in Melbourne, aged 68, sending shockwaves through the Australian music community and round the globe.

News of Gudinski’s passing prompted an outpouring of grief on social media and was reported in newspapers stretching the planet , including Ireland’s top-selling daily, The Independent.

Springsteen led tributes to Gudinski, who he described as “first, last, and always a music man.”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee continued, “I’ve toured the planet for the last fifty years and never met a far better promoter.

Michael always spoke with a deep rumbling voice, and therefore the words would spill over so fast that half the time I needed an interpreter.

But I could hear him clear as a bell when he would say, “Bruce, I’ve got you covered.” And he always did. He was loud, always in motion, intentionally (and unintentionally) hilarious, and deeply soulful.

He are going to be remembered by artists, including this one, from everywhere the planet whenever they set foot on Australian soil.”

“I’ll See You In My Dreams” appears on Springsteen’s 2020 album release, Letter To You, which debuted at No. 1 within the U.K. and Australia, and No. 2 within the U.S.
