The Arsenal striker has tweeted at Kroos following the midfielder’s comments on his podcast about players who don masks
Arsenal’s star man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has tweeted in response to Toni Kroos’ comments about his “silly” goal celebrations.
Kroos expressed his opinion on his podcast Einfach mal Luppen, admitting “if there are rehearsed dances or choreographies, I find it silly.
“Celebrating with masks, that’s where it ends for me. I don’t think that’s a good role model either. What nonsense.”
Aubameyang has taken to twitter to respond to the Germany international, and said “Just remember I did it [the celebration] for my son a few times and I will do it again.”
He quote tweeted a picture that a primary school child had drawn of him, and added “I wish you have kids one day and make them happy like this junior school pupil.”
Aubameyang has been known to celebrate wearing a mask several times in the past, most recently with a Black Panther mask against Rennes last year, and perhaps most famously with a Batman and Robin mask along with former Borussia Dortmund team-mate Marco Reus.
But Aubameyang has struggled to score so far this season, and with just two Premier League goals to his name this term, he’ll be hoping to celebrate elaborately once again very soon.
