There is jubilation in the land as two young nurses get caught for stealing newborn baby in Katsina state, Northwest Nigeria.
Reports has it that nemesis caught up with them when they’re on their way from the hospital to their houses with the child.
According to the Katsina state police command, the Keke Napep rider who was carrying the nurses, suspected them of stealing the child and raised an alarm.
The states’ police spokesman, Gambo Isah, speaking during a press conference, said the nurses — Misira Tijjani and Grace Ejigu, were arrested on July 28.
According to him, they had already conspired to sell the baby to one Eucharia Onyema, a 45-year-old woman who lives in Sabuwar Kasuwa quarters in the state.
It’s gathered that on the 25th of July, 2020 at about 10:00hrs, one Shamisiyya Sani, aged 25 years of Dandagorp quarters, delivered the baby girl at Okomos Clinic in Kofar Kaura, Katsina state.
After delivery, she abandoned the baby at the hospital with a written note stating the she’s born out of wedlock.
